My nephew got married last week. He turned 36 a few days after his wedding. His wedding gives me hope that maybe someday Damian will get married. Damian turned 28 last week (one day before my nephew's birthday). I know that living with us probably is a deterrent to girls his age, but the situation is what is best for all of us right now. My nephew's wedding was really nice. They got married in a tavern, which was interesting, but otherwise, it was nice. They wrote their own vows and the entire ceremony was 11 min. I appreciated that. They also didn't have a cake, they had donuts, which my sister and her husband bought. They didn't do the traditional "cake cutting." They just brought out donuts and said enjoy. ----Actually, they forgot about the donuts, but my sister and her husband did not, I think they said they bought 8 or 9 dozen, that's a lot of donuts to pay for and then not put out. 😆
My family was the only family on my nephew's side that was invited outside his parents. Well, I guess there was a cousin and grandma on his mom's side (my sister is stepmom). But it was cool to be invited.
What else has been going on? Not a lot. I got through most of the September madness. School starting (10th grade) (don't judge the stairs, we were getting ready to paint them.)
Asher's 7th birthday
The wedding
Damian's birthday
And my annual girl's trip with my sister. Her friend made us shirts, which is pretty cool.
Oh, and Damian got a kitten, which is adorable.
I have actually been running a little more. I have run more times in September than I did in August, and the month isn't even over. (7 so far compared to 5)
I did not mean this to be a picture montage of my September, but I guess that is what it is. October is around the corner and that means my 50th birthday. 😢😒😲
And just cause I can't leave it, here are the stairs now (literally less than a week after Maddox started school I had them painted).
