not a lot to say

Wow, I haven't posted in a month. I started this post but didn't finish it.

Well, nothing too exciting here.  I am mostly running one mile a day on my treadmill.  Last week we were inundated with smoke from fires all around us, but mostly from Oregon and California (there were several Washington fires, but the worst was from the south).

It has thankfully cleared out, and it never got as bad as the picture above where I live, but it was pretty bad.  I think the worst I had at my house was the Sept. 11 picture, which is still bad.

During the time that I didn't post, my grandson turned 1 (Sept 12) and my son turned 22 (Sept. 16).

And that's all I wrote.  Since that post, I also had a birthday (Oct. 6).

But there is nothing else to talk about.  My ankle continues to bother me, but not too bad.  I can walk around without even thinking about it now.  It still bothers me more when I run more, so I am still only running one mile a day on my treadmill.  Saturday I ran 2 miles, and Thursday or Friday I walked for a little bit on it.  It bothered me a little more yesterday but it's really not that bad.  I am on runstreak day 719 (or will be when I run today).  I have told myself that I would quit on Nov. 1 (which is 2 years) but I don't know that I want to if my ankle is feeling so much better.  I guess I'm just waiting to see how it feels on Nov. 1 (maybe adding a few longer runs, only 2 or 3 miles, once or twice a week).

My weight sucks.

So many people I read are doing an adapted version of 75 Hard, that Katie at RunsforCookies tried the original and decided to adapt it to make it a little easier.  Obviously, several other bloggers that I read also read her, because many of them are also doing her adapted version.  I'm not very interested in doing it, but it has been a thought.

  1. Has it really been two years since you started your run streak??? Where has that two years gone????? Congrats! And happy birthday!!!!

I have read about the 75 hard on Katie’s blog...and I just saw a YouTube video of someone that did it...the difference in their body was incredible! Enough to make me think twice about it....but according to what I read, it is a commitment and a half!!!!!

    1. I agree, and I just don't think I'm willing to do it. Maybe that signals that I'm just not committed enough, but I just don't want to do it.
