A few photos

I have about 10 min, so I'm going to "dump" some photos today, a week after getting back.  I have 400+ photos in my phone under the Hawaii folder, but don't know if I will post more later. These are some of my favorites.
 The view from our condo
My run as soon as I got to Kauai.  I was so excited to be not sitting on a plane (6 hours to Honolulu, then another hour to Kauai) that I ran 2 miles instead of 1 (I didn't have time for more or I would have gone farther).
 The sunrise from our condo.
Just another view from a run (I have a million pictures just from my runs because it was so beautiful).

In 1992 there was a huge hurricane and it destroyed a chicken farm, now there are chickens everywhere, and I mean everywhere.  I just thought the chicks were cute.
At the beach after a hot hike.
This was a fun hike. Seriously, it is so pretty.

The luau that we went to.  The fire dancer was the coolest part.

In Hanalei (you know "Puff the magic dragon lived by the sea in a land called Hanalei, yep, that's this town).

Don't smile when taking a selfie snorkeling under water. . .
 Another sunrise run.
A very cool red dirt water fall.  There's a whole clothing line called red dirt shirts (you can look it up) the clothes are "dyed" with this dirt.  It doesn't come off if you touch your clothes on it.
Have I mentioned my love of cemeteries?  We went to several.  This one was an old Japanese one.  it was amazing

I did a lot of sunrise running.  It was probably the best part of my trip (I know that's a little weird).
Another cemetery.  This one had a grave from a year ago of a guy who was my age.  In Hawaii all the grave sites have a border, you can kinda see that in that picture.  Anyway, the guy's family had painted the border blue and then wrote on it with chalk.  I definitely teared up reading it.
The Kauai Coffee Plantation
This blow hole supposedly spouts very high, this was the biggest one I saw.  My sister said the water isn't usually this calm in this spot.

My favorite snorkeling picture (well, other than the smiling one above).

Nancy and I went ziplining on the anniversary of my Mom's death.  It was amazing and a lot of fun (Nancy is the upside down one, I love that picture)
The amazing sunset we had on March 5th, my Mom's death day.  We went to a pier and released a blue and white lei, toasted my Mom with champagne and watched the gorgeous sunset.  It was the only sunset we saw (we were on the east side of the island).

Scott, my brother-in-law, took me to "Secret Beach" (it's not very secret, everyone I told about going to Kauai told me about that beach).  It was a pretty wet day, but a lot of fun.  The last picture is of the trail back up to the car after a bunch of rain.
We saw a turtle on our last day.  I was so glad we did.  We saw a monk seal on our first day, but I didn't take a picture.
My last sunrise run.  Seriously, this is what I miss the most.
The outfit we got Maddox.  =)  He was being "hula" in the picture.
